Float Valves
Pilot Float valve (BFF) is a mechanical water tank level control valve that does not require any electrical circuit to operate, as these valves are pure mechanical valves. Available port sizes from DN50 flange up to DN1000, body material Ductile Iron with Epoxy Coating optional 304 or 316 stainless steel. Bronze casting is also available for some sizes, Seal's NBR is standard for water but Viton or EPDM is also available.
Pilot float valves require a small, typically 1/2 inch external controller or float ball valve (FBV) to be piped to the main valve.
When the tank water level drops, the float ball valve drops and opens to release the back pressure, causing the main valve to open and refill the water tank. When the level rises, the ball float will rise and close, and this back pressure causes the main float valve to stop water flow.
